In the year of 2130 a world wide lack of resources leaves most countries on the bring of nuclear war. seeing this Australia developed a new virus created from the DNA and cell structure  of the cordyceps fungi. however shortly after a test subject escaped the holding lab which led to most of Australia being infected, not wanting to risk global infection Australia was abandoned and bombarded with nuclear missiles the fallout from these missiles bonding and mutating the virus.
